Willard C. Kosterman 65 formerly of Racine passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015 in the Michael E. DeBakey V. A. Medical Center in Houston after a short illness. He was born in Racine September 27, 1949 the son of George C. and Maude M. (nee LaBelle) Kosterman. Willard was a carpenter for most of his career. He served his Country in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam war. He enjoyed singing and dancing. He was the life of any party and enjoyed making people laugh. He had a very contagious laugh. He is survived by his daughter Melanie (Robert) Burgett, and a son Joshua D. (Stephanie) Kosterman, a stepson Bert (Tracy) Ramsey and a step daughter Teresa Gleason, 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, and 2 sisters; Rosemary Tryber and Carol Lane. Willard is further survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends, and his canine companion, Max. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, George C. Kosterman, and a sister, Emma L. Kosterman. A Service of Remembrance will be held Saturday September 26, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. in Strouf Funeral Home followed by full Military Honors. The family will receive guests on Saturday from 2 p.m. until the time of service in the funeral home.
