Tammy Lee Ashton, 48 of Racine passed away in her home on February 15, 2016. She was born in Racine April 4, 1967, the daughter of Wayne and Lillian Mae (Nee:Taylor) King. She married James Ashton on July 20th 1996 in Racine WI. Tammy loved playing darts and pool whenever she had the chance and football Sunday was her religion on choice as you could hear her screaming at the Packers from down the block. (Tammy was a diehard Packer fan.) Tammy was a registered CNA and always worried about everyone else and wanted to make sure everyone was always taken care of, even before herself, this was second nature to her because of what she did for work. But most of all She loved spending time with her grandkids. She will be deeply missed by her husband James and 7 children Orin Thomas, Jason (Tanja) Roushia, Wayne Guthrie, Richard “Joe” Ashton, Michelle (Brandon) “Ashton” Godard, Melissa (Jason) Ashton and Natalie Ashton. Two sisters Julie Guthrie, Cindy Goodluck, and 1 brother George Taylor Sr. Fourteen grandchildren, Mason, Bridget, Gianna, Persaphone, Michael, Bridget, Brandon, Michael, Christopher, Matthew, Joseph, Britany, Stephen, and Nicholas. Tammy is also survived by several great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 daughter Rachelle and 1 grandson Michael. A memorial gathering will be held in Strouf Funeral Home Friday February 19, 2016 from 3- 5 pm to celebrate Tammy’s life. Burial will be private for the family. In leiu of flowers, donations may be made to the Racine Food Bank in memory of Tammy Ashton.
