Ruth Petrikat

Ruth Petrikat, 71 passed away unexpectedly on Saturday evening August 24, 2013 in her home. She was born February 9, 1942 inButtow in Pommerin,Germany the daughter of Wilhelm Palentschus, (who passed away) and Ida L. (nee: Stahl)Palaitus Ruth married Walter Petrikat on January 19, 1963 in Racine. Ruth was a homemaker but worked as a dental technician for Professional Positioners. She was also a member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church. Ruth was an avid gardener, a wonderful cook, loved animals and enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband Walter, her daughter Ingrid (Lars) Svensson and her son Kenneth (Jennifer) Petrikat, her mother Ida Palaitis, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and son Donald. Funeral Services will be held Thursday August 29, 2013 at 11 a.m. in Strouf Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. The family will receive guests on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association in Ruth’s name. ;
