Yolanda Mercedes Casiano Diaz, 28, of Racine, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Sheridan Health & Rehabilitation Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
She is survived by her mother, Margarita Diaz Cartagena, and her father, Luis Casiano; her maternal grandmother, Yolanda Cartagena, and paternal grandmother, Mercedes Colon; her brothers, Juan Casiano Diaz (Jordan Selby), Jose Casiano Diaz (Samantha Rocio), Jesus Casiano Diaz (Ashley Ortiz), and Marc Anthony Casiano Diaz; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandmother, Isabel Cartegena; her maternal grandfather, Guillermo Diaz-Rosado, and paternal grandfather, Ambrosio Casiano.
Yolanda cherished her role as an aunt and was deeply family-oriented. She loved spending time with family and friends and was known for being caring, empathetic, and a good listener. She often put others before herself. She enjoyed arts and crafts, loved Disney, and enjoyed styling hair and makeup. She was proud of her Puerto Rican heritage.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Strouf Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m.
Baby sister I miss you so much I’m lost in words right now still I can’t manage to get past this hurt I’m so sorry for a lot of things that happened but just know you would be so proud of us how people from my job showing so much love and support for you sis willing to help and share your story to others brings hope.
