Nellie Belle Zold, 87, of Racine, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Lawlis Family Hospice – Mequon. She was born on July 24, 1932 in New Martinsville, West Virginia. Born the daughter of Anna Kelley. Nellie married the late Michael Zold. She worked as a receptionist at Lincoln Lutheran in Racine, Wisconsin. Nellie was very creative; she loved arts and crafts, but her true passion was crocheting. She enjoyed going on walks and staying active; she walked two miles everyday to quick off her morning. Nellie will be deeply missed by her children Richard Angus, Charles (Barb) Angus, Michael Zold, Charlotte Zold, and Henry (Tammie) Zold. She will be dearly missed by her sister Flora (George) Heinzman, as well as eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Nellie is preceded in death by her mother, grandsons Brian Angus and Christopher Angus, and sister Alice Cecil. Private services and burial were held per Nellie’s wishes.
Nellie was a dear woman and an active member of Mt Pleasant Lutheran Church where she was a great welcomer of neighbors. I will miss her hugs after services, and the smile she always brought with her to worship. My sympathies to her family and friends. Peace to you in Christ.
Was so sad to see the notice of Nellie Hold’s passing. Nellie was such a very sweet lady. In fact she babysat for a couple of my grandchildren a few years back. Loved her hugs at church!!!! Rest in the arms of Jesus!!!!!
Now she rests In Peace in Jesus loving arms. The memories I have of her are how much she loved her family and was willing to help and advise those in need. I loved watching her knit the little baby hats. The blanket/throws are so beautiful that she put her love into making. It was a joy to just sit with her in the quietness of spirit. We are glad for the memories and love that will stay in our hearts. Prayers for peace and comfort for all the family and friends who knew her. Sincerely in Christ Love, Heidi Angus, Charles & Charlie Kopf

Sorry for your family’s loss. Never had the pleasure of meeting Nellie, but if her child is a reflection of her, then she was a wonderful person.
In my prayers.
I am very sad to hear this news. Nellie was such a lovely woman – fun to be around and kind to everyone. We will miss her at Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church. My sympathies to all of you.
