Maudia “Mary” Ibarra, nee Sabala, 71 passed away Wednesday August 26, 2015 in Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. She was born June 4, 1944 in Racine, the daughter of Nicolas and Pauline G. (nee:Garcia) Sabala. Mary worked for Gardtec, Inc. for 15 years and had attended Mass at Cristo Rey Parish. She enjoyed crocheting, music, dancing, Facebook, playing Candy Crush, and spending time with her grandchildren and all of her family whom she loved very much. Mary was the most loved mother of Eliza Mandujano-Bernal, Angela (Benigno) Chairez, Antoinette (Ramon) Barela, Maria (Juan) Arebalo, Santiago “Junior” (Tracy) Bernal, Gabriel Bernal, and Diana “Dede” (Jamarr) Swanks, 31 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 2 brothers; Nick (Jane) Sabala and Sirildo (Olga) Sabala, 4 sisters; Janie (Joe) Coca, Julia (Roy) Hernandez, Dora (Tony) Morones, and Adela Sanchez, and a daughter-in-law Pauline Bernal. She is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers Jesse and Antonio Sabala, a granddaughter Anjelica Bernal, and 5 grandsons; Ramiro Bernal, Jesus and Eduardo Chairez, Victor Vela, and Ramon Barela Jr. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday September 1, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Patrick Catholic Church 1100 Erie St., Fr. Antony Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive guests on Monday from 5-7 pm in Strouf Funeral Home and on Tuesday in Church fro 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.;
