Marvin E. Polzin, 76, passed away May 21, 2016 in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 29, 1939 in Racine, the son of Louie and Myrtle (Nee: Wren) Polzin. Marvin married Jimmie (Nee: Walls) Polzin, May 12, 1972 in Racine, she passed away Oct. 24, 2010. Marvin worked for J.I. Case for 27 years as a Assembler and was a long time member of the Church of God in Union Grove. A very active member and respected member of the church, he loved going to the demolition derby in Union Grove along with traveling to Branson Missouri and Mississippi. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his daughter Tanya (Angell) Carranza and step-daughter Janice Weaver, along with 7 grandchildren, Beverly, Nick, Marcus, Alex, Gage, T.J., Angell Anthony, with 4 great-grandchildren, Ethan, Austin Lauren and Logan. He is also survived by 3 brothers and 1 sister and a very special close friend Shirley along with other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jimmie, 3 sisters, 1 brother, 1 grandchild and 1 step-daughter. The family would like to send a special thank you to Nicole and Dawn from Hospice Alliance and 2 close friends Katie and Jackie for their special care of Marvin. Funeral services will take place in Strouf Funeral Home on Friday May 27,2016 at 10:30 am, Pastor Russ Snell officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery on HWY 32. The family will also receive guests on Friday from 10 am until the time of service and on Thursday May 26, 2016 from 6-8 pm.
