Leroy Thomas McAlister, Sr, 62, Sunrise April 25, 1956. He went home August 22, 2018 joining his parents L.T. McAlister and Shirley Mae(Smith) McAlister.
Leroy was a high school graduate from Hyde Park High School, Chicago, Illinois. Leroy went on to become a machinist for /Chrysler Automotive for many years.
Leroy was a proud father whom he love spending Limitless time with his grandchildren, friends and family.
Leroy was a jack-of-all trades who had a passion for cars, sports, western movies fishing, music, sharing his childhood memories and most of all cooking. His love and undying laughter will be forever missed by a multitude of many people.
Most of all his three children Diamond Ringo, Leroy McAlister, Jr., and Monica McAlister (James) Sutton, along with his 9 Grandson’s, Savonlaye McAlister, Daquavelon McAlister, Levi McAlister, Jesse Moore, III, Khiary McAlister, Knowledge (McAlister) Wyatt, Josiah Ringo, Jabrayton Moore and 5 granddaughter’s Desmtria Barnes, Artayshea Jones, Dream Jones, Layla McAlister and Deliha Ringo.
Extended family: Toya Nunn, Queimara Sanders, Rachel Nunn, Takiyah Nunn and William Fonville. Grandchildren Aubrina Draughn and Ivy Nunn.
He is survived by 5 brother’s Robert McAlister, Eugene McAlister, David McAlister, Hays McAlister and Walter Graye. 2 sisters Rachel McAlister and Ella Cartwright.
He was preceded in death by wife Desiree McAlister. Parents L.T. and Shirley Mae (Smith) McAlister brothers L.V. McAlister and Jerry McAlister.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Friday, September 7th, 2018 at Strouf Funeral Home. Visitation 11 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
