Kim E. Owen

Kim E. Owen 47 passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning December 16, 2014 in Wheaton Franciscan All Saint Medical Center. She was born August 14, 1967 in Racine, the daughter of Oscar E. and Sharon A. (Nee Baker) Haigh. Kim married Earl D. Owen on February 12, 2012 in Champaign, IL. A graduate of Park High School, Kim worked as a tender care giver in Group and private homes. She enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband Earl, 2 children; Isiah, and Marisa Dominguez, 2 sisters; Brenda (Johnnie) Felix, and Jenni (Clint) Bucholz, 2 brothers; Eric (Kim) Haigh, and Nathan (Alexa) Haigh. She is further survived by a God Daughter Lorna Czysz and Lorna’s mother Joanna Sexton, her Step Mother Nancy Verbeten and Step Father John Rendon, nieces, nephews, special family friend Sharon Holt, other relatives and friends. Kim was preceded in death by her parents Oscar E. Haigh and Sharon A. Rendon. A service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving for the life of Kim will be held Friday December 19, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. in Strouf Funeral Home, Fr. Antony Thomas officiating. The family will receive guests on Friday from 5 p.m. until the time of the service in the funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family for care of Kim’s children.;
