Joseph Pastorek 91 passed away December 26, 2013 in his winter residence in Mesa, AZ. He was born in Kenosha on March 17, 1922 and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He married Beverly DeMint on September 30, 1944 in Racine. Joseph worked for S.C.Johnson until retiring in 1984. He was a sport enthusiast playing fast pitch ball into his 80’s and belonging to tennis and golf leagues. He also participated in the Senior Olympics at the State and National levels winning several medals. Survivors include his loving wife Bev, his daughters Karen ( Robert) Stigler and Debbie Stefani, 3 grandsons and 5 great grandchildren along with other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Emil. Since his death his wife Beverly has passed away on May 25, 2014. Combined committal services will be held Monday June 9, 2014 at11 a.m. in the chapel of Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery with full military honors for Joseph. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to remember Joe to the Wisconsin Stars and Stripes Honor Flight.
