John Lee Bell 63 passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning January 31, 2015 in his home. He was born May 26, 1951 in Humbolt, TN the son of Charlie and Mattie Lou (nee: Taylor) Bell. John was retired from Massey Ferguson and was a member of Greater Grace Temple. He enjoyed playing Gospel and the Blues on his guitar, singing, and cracking jokes. He loved his family deeply and will be sadly missed by them. He is survived by his former wife Dorothy Sutton, his long time loving companion Angela Oliver, his children; Charmain (Kevin) Bell, Yohon (Autumn) Bell, Daryl (Jennifer) Sutton, and Brian Nichols, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, two brothers; Charles (Lois) Bell, and Freeman Bell, four sisters;Annette (Mark) Bell, Charlie Mae (John) Bell, Vannie (Charles) Bell, and Darlene (Mike) Horton. John is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Pearlie Mae Broadnax, a brother Henry Bell, a great grandson Ja’Mere Miller, and a son George Leander Nichols. A Homegoing Victory Celebration will be held On Friday February 6, 2015 at 11 a.m. in Greater Mount Eagle Baptist Church, 929 State St. with Pastor Keith Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive guests in the church on Friday from 10 a.m until the time of services. ;
