Joan Beatrice Morgenson, 82, passed away April 18, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. Joan was born in Mondovi, Wisconsin on December 23, 1935 to Robert and Beatrice (Schreiner) Crawford. Her family moved to Racine when Joan was starting high school, where she met her future husband, Marvin Morgenson. They were united in marriage July 10, 1954 at Bethany Methodist Church and recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary. Marvin and Joan liked to go camping. Joan was a member of Christ Church United Methodist. Joan was an avid member of her card club with friends from high school and met with them once a month for over 60 years. Joan had fun going to play bingo. Everyone loved Joan as she always saw the good in people and she was happiest surrounded by family and friends. Joan is survived by her loving husband, Marvin, her children; Sharon (Dave) Nehring, Steve Morgenson, Susan (Stan) Jardee, and Thomas Morgenson; 9 grandchildren; Marvin (Annette) Nehring, Sarah (Brandon) Severson, Laura Morgenson, Hannah Morgenson, Danielle Jardee, Amy Jardee, Abigail Morgenson, Justice Morgenson, and Chelsea Mayhue, and 5 great grandchildren; Makayla, Harrison, Calvin, Flynn and Hattie. Further survived by her sister in law, Jean Hamata, two brothers, Robert (Kathy) Crawford and William (Kathy) Crawford, other relatives and close friends. Special thanks to Wheaton Franciscan Cancer Center and Hospice Alliance for the great care and support provided during these difficult times. On Thursday, April 26, 2018, relatives and friends may meet with the family at Christ Church United Methodist at 10 am until time of service at 11 am. Cremation has taken place.
