Jimmy O. Dean Jr. 70 passed away May 22, 2016 in Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, Franklin. He was born February 10, 1946 in Jusep Iowa, the son of Jim and Leila (Nee: Schoenbeck) Dean Sr. A self-employed contractor, Jim loved the outdoors as he was a avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed working in the garage rebuilding lawnmowers and making fun stuff. He designed his own mini-bikes and made many of them for his children, grandchildren and even some for the neighborhood kids. He loved using “General Jim Blue”. Jimmy will be deeply missed by his wife of 53 years Christine (Nee: Pribyl) Dean and 2 daughters Tammy (Alan) Porasik and Connie (Michael) Schultz. Other survivors include 7 grandchildren, Gregory Koontz, Jody (Nate) Zeigler, Casey Collins, Sean Collins, Amy (Dan) Gustin, Kristen Schultz and Erin (Matt) Hermes, along with 9 great-grandchildren, Caleb, Allison, Jennifer, Austin, Tyler, Alex, Landon, Leslie and Zoe. Jim is also survived by nieces, nephew’s other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father Doc Kadera and 1 great-grandchild Matthew Hermes II. Funeral services and burial will be private for the family.
