Gustave Paul Jorgenson, 77 of Racine passed away Thursday March 15, 2018 in The Bay at Waters Edge. He was born in Green Bay, WI. on March 13, 1941, the son of Osi and Evelyn (NEE: Fonder) Jorgenson. He married Shirley (NEE: McCarthy) Jorgenson on June 27, 1964 in Racine. A Army veteran, Gus loved to fish, read and do woodworking. He enjoyed his gunsmithing and loved to tend to the campfire. He will be deeply missed by his wife Shirley, 3 children Laura (Gary) Gemmel, Barbara (Jeff) Anderson, Eric (David) Jorgenson along with 4 grandchildren, Kristin, Heleana, Tara, Todd and 4 great-grandchildren Taliyah, Daemyn, Riley and Emma. He will also be missed by his 3 brothers Ronald Jorgenson, David Jorgenson and Mike Jorgenson. Gus is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service for Gus will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home. The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial is private for the family.

I’m sad that we never had the chance to meet
Shirley and family, you very likely don’t know me, but as teenagers, Osi and Evelyn and their boys often took a group of us square dancing
or gave us rides home more often than I can count. We had so many good times, He was such a good guy, as were Ron and David. I am very sorry for your loss of Gus.
