GUILLERMO J. “WILLIAM” CHAVEZ

nRACINE GUILLERMO J. “WILLIAM” CHAVEZ 79 passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning June 27, 2012 in Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Healthcare. He was born February 10, 1933 in Manly, IA the son of Juan and Maria (nee: Jaime) Chavez. William married Rosa Sanchez on June 28, 1952 in Waukegan, IL. He was employed as a mason with construction companies for most of his career. William enjoyed baseball, and music and was a great handyman around the house. He dearly loved his family and will be deeply missed. Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Rosa, 6 children; Benito (Sylvia) Chavez, Olivia (John) Pfander, Guillermo Chavez Jr., Eva (Eddie) Murillo, Martin Chavez, and Rosemary (Ruben) Deanda, 21 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 4 sisters, 3 brothers, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Rita, a sister and 3 brothers. Funeral services will be Monday July 2, 2012 at 3 pm in Strouf Funeral Home, Pastor Guadalupe Torres Jr. officiating. The family will receive guests on Monday from 2 pm until the time of services in the funeral home. ;
