David James Bauer, 74, passed away with family at his side Thursday August 4, 2016. He was born September 26, 1941 in Springfield MO, the son of Paul and Pauline (nee: Shirk) Ferguson. He married Diana Bauer in 1966 in Racine; she passed away in 1992. An Auto Lab Technician with Modine Manufacturing, David loved to fish, hunt deer, grouse and turkey, and collect guns. He will be missed by his 3 children: Michael (Sarah) Bauer, Eileen (Russell) Gibson and Gary Bauer; 8 grandchildren: Rosalia, Eva, Maya Li, Cecelia, Samantha, Mitchell, Diana and Cole; along with 1 brother Paul (Sharon) Bauer, 1 sister Cindy (Mark) Larson and his step-parents Paul and Pauline Bauer. David is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Indianhead Medical Center of Shell Lake fortheir attentive and affectionate care of David. He was predeceased by his loving wife Diana and his parents. A private family get together was held for David.
