Bernard John Obry, 74, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Ascension All Saints Hospital. He was born on June 9, 1946 in Racine, the son of Bernard A. and Jean A. (NEE: Lewis) Obry. Bernie worked for Johnson Wax in Research and Development. He served as a Sergeant with the United States Air Force. Bernie enjoyed golfing, dining at Culver’s and life in general. Bernie will be deeply missed by his sisters Susan Ireton of Florida and Ruth (Kevin) Plocinski of Racine, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Honor Guard will perform at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Strouf Funeral Home, 1001 High Street, Racine. The family will receive guests at the Funeral Home on Friday, October 2, 2020 from 12 Noon until the time of the Honor Guard. Burial will follow the Honor Guard ceremony at Graceland Cemetery. A special thank you to Ridgewood and Ascension for their kind and compassionate care of Bernie.
