Abel C. Vega, 88, of Racine, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2020 at home. He was born on December 9, 1931 in Mexico. Born the son on Trinidad and Maria (NEE: Refugio) Vega. Abel married Maria I. Villagomez in 1950, they have been married 70 years. Abel loved working around his garden, enjoyed cooking, and had a sweet spot for Chinese food. Abel will be missed by his wife Maria and eleven children. He will be dearly missed by thirty grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He us survived by two brothers, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Abel is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and five brothers. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020 at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church at 11 a.m. The family will receive guests on Friday, September 18, 2020 from 10 a.m. at the church until time of mass. Father Antony Thomas will be officiating. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
