Norma Jean Briggs, 66, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Ascension All Saints Hospital. Norma was born July 19, 1959 in Racine, the daughter of Cleveland and Dorothy (NEE: Savage) Briggs. Norma enjoyed cooking, reading and watching TV, especially “How To Get Away with Murder”. She was a great, loving Mom and always thought and put others before herself. She loved her dog Maddie and her cat Spice, whom she considered “her kids, not her pets”. Norma’s favorite saying was “keeping it real”. Norma will be deeply missed by her daughter Chanel Hooker and her son Cardell (Xenia) Jackson, along with grandchildren Ayana Jackson and Mila Jackson. She will also be missed by her brothers Terry Briggs and Cardell Briggs and sister Pamela Smith, nephews Terry Briggs, Jr., Joshua Jackson, Frankron Briggs and Darion Woods and niece Shusika Smith( Tierra Lee). She will also be missed by her very dear friend Ollie Collier, as well as aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Yvonne Leggs and Patricia Ann Briggs, brother Kendrick Briggs and cousin Tracy Richmond. A memorial service for Norma will be held at a later date.
