Nelda S. Leslie

Nelda S. Leslie 90 passed away Tuesday March 18, 2014 in Ridgewood Care Center after an extended illness. She was born November 24, 1923 in Fulton, MS the daughter of Curtis and Emma (nee: Moore) Spencer. Nelda married Herbert W. Burch on April 20, 1940 in Fulton, MS. He passed away July 13, 1968. She was employed as a nursing assistant for 24 years with Lincoln Village, and waitressed for 35 years. Survivors include her children William (Kathy) Burch, Vicki (David Bridges) Burch, and Beverly (Henry) Springer, 4 grandchildren Teresa (Randy) Graves, Philip (Cherie) Burch, Robert (Allison) Burch,and Henry Springer Jr., 3 great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Sean, and Hentrick, 3 great great grandchildren, Alexis, Tatiana, and Micah, a sister Maxine Ruth, and a half sister Dorothy (Paul) Jones. Nelda is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and a sister. Funeral Services will be Monday March 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. in Strouf Funeral Home, Rev. Holly Anderle officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive guests in the funeral home on Monday from 10 a.m. to time of services. Nelda’s children wish to thank the staff of 2 east at Ridgewood, especially Nurse Practitioner Jill, Lawrence, Tacoya, Loretta, and Robinfor their exceptional and dignified care given to our mom.;
