Matthew John Secord

Matthew John Secord 82 passed away Thursday May 30, 2013 in the home of his granddaughter. He was born September 8, 1930 in Park Ridge, Illinois the son of Philip and LuAnne (nee Smith) Secord. Matt married Susan Porter on June 16, 1951 in Waukegan, IL. Together they raised a family in several suburban communities over the years. Matt worked as a sales agent for life insurance. He will be remembered with love by his daughter Frances (John) Czerwinski and his granddaughter who became his care giver over the past few years, Monica West. Also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Susan, and a brother George. It was Matt’s wish that private services and burial be held for family only. Those services were held June 3rd in Strouf Funeral Home.;
