Maria Castaneda, 49, of Racine, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Ascension All Saints Hospital. She was born in Mexico, born the daughter of Ramon Castaneda and Maria Ceballos. Maria married Huberto Bahena in Waukegan, Illinois. She liked to listen to music, watch cooking videos, and going to the lake. More than anything she cherished the time spent with her family. Maria will be deeply missed by her husband Huberto Bahena, and children Evelyn (Miguel) Villarreal, Daniel (Sonia) Bahena, and Cynthia Bahena. She will be dearly missed by grandchildren Mia, Evie, Bruno, Mateo, and Paola. She is survived by her sister Wendy Castaneda, brothers Ricardo Castaneda, Sergio Castaneda, Gerado Castaneda, and mother Maria Ceballos. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Maria is preceded in death by her father Ramon Castaneda, and brother Gilberto Castaneda. Funeral Services for Maria will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Strouf Funeral Home at 1 p.m. The family will receive guests on Thursday, December 3, 2020 from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Father Juan Manuel Camacho is officiating. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Highway 32.
