Lula Denise Brown, 53, of Racine, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Ridgewood Care Center. She was born on March 15, 1965 in Mattson, Mississippi. She was the daughter of A.C. Kelly and Lucille Brown. Lula worked as an activity director for a community center. She enjoyed cooking and loved to spend time with her grandkids. She was just a people person, she loved everyone who she met. Lula will be deeply missed by her children Larvizo Brown, Shenika Brown, Ericka Garrett, Anastasia Garrett, and Antonio Garrett, as well as grandchildren Omarion Garrett, Angelina Brown-Sims, Cierra Brown Cims, A-Myia Garrett, William Brown-Sims, Dahmani Fisher, Nevaeh Garrett-Brown, Ze-Kyia Garrett, Jamarion Garrett, Da’mhier Garrett, and Jah-Ron Griffin. Lula will be missed by her sister Levon Sims and nieces Lucille McLean, Shavonne Tillman, and Tammy Brown, and special friend Gregory Moore. She is survived by many other relatives and friends. Lula is preceded in death by her son Eric Brown, and her father A.C. Kelly and mother Lucille Brown. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Lakeview Church of Christ (3224 Wright Avenue) at 11 a.m. The family will receive guests on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be private for the family per Lula’s wishes.
You passing away was a shock to me. I was thinking you had went home, how was you liking the place and what you might be doing? Until I was told this. You was a beautiful person inside and out.
