Anna Ziolkowski 86 passed away peacefully on Thursday morning December 26, 2013 in Ridgewood Care Center. She was born November 1, 1927 in Ponice, Poland the daughter of Thomas and Magdalena (nee: Woycik) Handzel. Anna married Czeslaw “Chester” Ziolkowski in 1950. He preceded her in death. A homemaker, Anna also worked for Master Appliances and was a caretaker. She had also been a member of St. John Nepomuk Parish. Anna enjoyed cooking and gardening, but her life centered on her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She so loved them all and will be sadly missed by them. Survivors include her caring and loving daughter Mary Anne Ziolkowski, 4 grandchildren; John Ziolkowski Jr., Donald Ziolkowski, Kevin Ziolkowski, and Elizabeth (Jermaine) Johnson, 8 great grandchildren, a brother Joseph Handzel, of Milwaukee, and 2 sisters Christine and Mary in Poland. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons Tom and John Jr., and 2 brothers, Stanley and Bolek. Funeral Services will be Monday December 30, 2013 at 7 p.m. in Strouf Funeral Home, Sr. Karen Vollmer, O.P. officiating. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery Garden Crypts on Hwy. 32. The family will receive guests on Monday from 6 p.m. to time of service in the funeral home.
