Zarina Pena 19 passed away Friday evening April 18, 2014 in the Racine Hospice House after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born June 22, 1994 in Evanston, IL the daughter of Anel Pena. Zarina enjoyed watching 5 am sunrises on the beach and spending time with her family. She is survived by her grandmother Celia who raised her as a daughter, her mother Anel Pena, sister Kassandra, and brothers Alex Jr. and Jose, Godparents Diana and Ernesto, Grandparents Juana and Humberto, special aunts Maria and Kuki, special cousins Bianca, Crystal, and Adilene, and her best friend Salvador. A Mass ofChrisitan Burial will be held Wednesday April 23, 2014 at 9:30 am in St. Patrick Catholic Church 1100 Erie St. Fr. Gabriel Torres officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery on Hwy. 32. The family will receive guests on Tuesday from 5-7 pm in Strouf Funeral Home and again on Wednesday in Church from 9 am until the time of the Mass.
