William E. Breitenstein Sr.

William E. “Bill” Breitenstein 67 passed away unexpectedly on Thursday March 12, 2015 of natural causes in his home. He was born March 7, 1948 in Chicago, IL the son of Charles and Joyce Breitenstein. He later moved to Racine and worked for Chrysler Corporation in Kenosha as a Designer for 30 years. He retired in 2009 and moved to Blair. Bill enjoyed the peace and beauty of living in the country. He spent many days walking and exploring the land near his home. He also enjoyed history and used his computer to learn more about the past. He loved animals and always had at least one dog at his side. Survivors include his son, William Breitenstein Jr. three granddaughters; Kayla, Taylor, and Miranda, and his former wife and good friend Joan Trinrude. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Charles Jr. Funeral services will be Tuesday March 17, 2015 at 11 A.M. in Strouf Funeral Home, Fr. Leonard Van Vlaenderen officiating Burial will be private for the family. The family will receive guests on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of services in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to an area Humane Society of your choice. Bill will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but he will live in our hearts forever.;
