Vernon J. Emmerich, 92 passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Season’s Hospice, Oak Creek. Vern was born January 5, 1929, the son of Joseph and Stella (Nee: Bergeron) Emmerich in Milwaukee. On October 10, 1953, he married Patricia Ellen Romanowicz in Milwaukee. Vern served in the United States Air Force as a crew chief. He was a very energetic man, always laughing and telling jokes, always the jokester. He enjoyed golfing and bowling, and was into airplanes. Most of all, he loved his family and especially his grandchildren who he would play the game “gotcha last”. Vern will be deeply missed by his children, Mary (Jerry) Cooper, Keith Emmerich, Tracy (Robert) Ropocky, Julie (Chris) Konkol and Patrick Emmerich. He will also be missed by his 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, along with his sister Lorraine. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Vern was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Patricia and two brothers Raymond and Donald. Services for Vernon will be held at Strouf Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive guests on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the Funeral Home at 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
