January 3, 1956 to June 8, 2022
Steven G. Petz, 66, passed away at Ascension All Saints Hospital on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 after a very short battle with cancer. Left to mourn: Wife: Linda, Daughter: Melissa (Peter); Stepchildren: Denise (Larry)Tully, Jim (Angel) Drozd, Patti Taylor; Sons-in-Law: Donny Overstreet, Rick Bartlet, James Taylor. Siblings: Karin (Chris) Malcholz, Monica (Reuben) Pelkola, Stephanie (Joe) Kutis, Tami (Roy) Petz. Grandchildren: Steven Burdo, Jr., Justin, Stephan, Kaitlyn, Cordell, Rudy, Evy, Nicholaus, Jimmy, Samantha, Shane, Thomas, Johanna. Great-Grandsons: Leon, Xzavior, Michah. Best friend: Mel Larson. Proceeded by: his parents Steve and Marie Petz, in-laws George and Audrey Kuchcinski, Brother Robin Petz, Stepdaughters Barb Tully, Karen Drozd-Bartlet, Great-Grandson Hunter Wise, Best and Special Friend Mike Larson. Retiring in 2019 after more than 30 years at George Morris/R&B Grinding. Steve was an avid Packer and NASCAR fan. Back in the day, there wasn’t a Saturday night that he and his daughter weren’t at Hales Corners Speedway.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 in the Strouf Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. to celebrate Steve’s life and to say your final farewells. Burial will be private per Steve’s wishes.

Steven was a cousin I never knew. His Dad and my Dad, Andrew, were brothers. I’m sure he will be missed. R.I.P.
