Santiago Hernandez

Santiago Hernandez age 74, passed away in Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center on Thursday, February 26 2015. He was born May 1, 1943 in Mexico, and married the love of his life Estella (nee: Coronado) Hernandez in 1974 in Waukegan IL. He was a business owner that served companies with janitorial services. Santiago loved to fish and spend many hours in his garden, tending to his tomatoes and hot peppers. Survivors include his wife Estella, 9 children Juanita (Romero) Rodriguez, Francisco, Hernandez, Irma Hernandez, Juan (Stephanie) Hernandez, Jose Hernandez, Alejandro Hernandez and Santiago Hernandez Jr., 12 grandchildren, Lorena, Erica, Daniel, Kassandra, Juan, Antinio, Gabrallia, Graciela, Selena, Toby, Samantha, and Elena, and 3 great grandchildren, Ameena, Julian, and Alayah. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Santiago was predeceased by his parents. Funeral Services will be held in Strouf Funeral Home 11 a.m. Wednesday March 4, 2015 Father Antony Thomas officiating. The family will receive guests Wednesday March 4 2015 in the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery on Hwy. 32.;
