Rita Mae Langenfeld Schaefer, 78, of Racine, passed away Wednesday February 24, 2016, in Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Hospital. She was born August 24, 1937 in Racine, the daughter of Art and Evelyn (Nee: Deno) Langenfeld Sr. A graduate from Horlick High School, Rita was a Laborer at Great Northern Corp. and retired in 2000. Rita loved music and playing the Accordion, and enjoyed playing Bingo in her younger years. She will be deeply missed by her four children, Tom Schaefer, Susan (Johnny) Palladino, William and James Schaefer. Three grandchildren, Gregory, Jason and Jeremiah and four great-grandchildren Chad, Chase, Chance, Nicole and one brother Dean (Maggie) Langenfeld. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Rita was predeceased by her parents and two brothers Art and Danny Langenfeld. Funeral services will be held Monday February 29, 2016 at 11 am in Strouf Funeral Home. The family will receive guests from 10 am until the time of service. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery on HWY 32
