Richard Dean Peterson, 63, of Racine, passed away in his home on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. He was born on May 1, 1955 in Racine, the son of Harley and Gladys (Nee: Larson) Peterson. Richard enjoyed fishing, woodworking, riding his Harley motorcycle, being a big Packer fan, but most of all he loved spending time with his daughter, his wife and grandchildren as well as his dog Spirit. Richard served with the United States Army in Vietnam and was also stationed in Germany. He will be deeply missed by his wife Jeanne, his four children, Shane Peterson, Justin (Kristine) Harms and Megan (Mike) Bonney and Kassandra (Kyle) Brotzman. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren Trinity, Noah and 6 other grandchildren, and a very close friend Russel Bloom. He will also be missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Carol. A Memorial Service will be held for Richard on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 10am in the funeral home. Burial is private for the family per Richard’s wishes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family so they can donate to Richard’s favorite charity.

Rick was a really good friend of mine for many years. You had a very beautiful soul Rick which is extremely rare to find in a person. I will miss you the rest of my life. It was an honor to know you and you were loved by so many people. May God hold you in his arms on your new Journey.
