Peter C. “Wheatie” Johnson

PETER CHRISTIAN “WHEATIE” JOHNSON 48 of Racine died Tuesday morning December 4, 2012 in a tragic fire that consumed his RV. He was born February 6, 1964 in Racine the son of Howard E. and Sylvia J. (nee: Larentzos) Johnson. Pete was an excellent auto mechanic but also worked for LaCosta, R & S. Meats and Curative Workshop. He enjoyed spending all his spare time with family. rnSurvivors include his daughters Christina Chambliss and Nicole Johnson, his brother Vaughn Johnson Sr., 4 grandchildren, and 5 nephews; Eric, Howard, Warren, Vaughn Jr. and Steve, along with other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Charles Rivest, and George Johnson. rnA Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday December 15, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. in Strouf Funeral Home, Pastor Holly Anderle officiating. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of services in the funeral home. rnThe family would like to offer a special thank you to the Racine Police and Fire Departments, and to so many of Pete’s friends and friends of the family for their support and comfort given to the entire family. rn rnIf so desired, memorials may be made to the family, and will be deeply appreciated.;
