Onebre Reyes, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, May 14,2024 at Ascension All Saints Hospital in Racine, WI. He was born October 26,1952 in Tennessee, the son of the late Angel and Anastasia (Nee: Hernandez) Reyes. After relocating with his family to Racine, Onebre graduated from William Horlick High School. After graduation, he was employed at various Manufacturing companies in Racine and also as a truck driver. When the weather permitted, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, as well as he enjoyed watching wrestling and his favorite football team, The Pittsburgh Steelers. He was known as the jokester of the family, loving to make everyone around him laugh.
Onebre is survived by his four children and grandchildren, his two sisters, Elena Wright and Eva(Raul) Zagal, and two brothers Raymond Reyes and Ruben Layton. He will also be missed by numerous of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Onebre is preceded in death by his siblings, Sam Reyes, John Reyes, Carmen Reyes, Sara Montes, Mary Keenan, Nancy Reyes and two nephews, Rogelio Ramos and Greg Anderson.
A memorial service to honor the life of Onebre will be held on Friday, June 7,2024 at 12:00 P.M. in Strouf Funeral Home, 1001 High Street. The family will welcome guests at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. until the start of service.
