Joyce E. Cook, age 94, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, in Racine, Surrounded by loved ones. She was born on May 4,1930 in Racine, the youngest daughter of Harry and Elizabeth (Nee: Campbell) Maysian. She is a graduate of WiIlliam Horlick High School. On March 27,1951 Joyce united in marriage to Thomas G. Cook at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, they remained married for 55 wonderful years until Thomas’s passing in 2006. She was a dedicated mother to not only her 3 boys, but to many of the kids in her neighborhood as well. Joyce was a fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and loved attending the games whenever she was able. Most of all, she loved her family and enjoyed whenever she got to spend time with them. She loved the gatherings with her 5 sisters and their families. She will be missed by her son James (Cristina) Cook, daughter-in-law- Brenda Cook, ten grandchildren, Josh, Aaron, Abby, Ashley, Niki, Robin (Tom), Lindsey (Evan), Chelsea, Christofer, and Cristina, as well as six great – grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Elizabeth, husband Thomas, two sons, Michael and Eugene, one daughter-in-law Eillen, and five sisters, Zarta, Jean, Helen, Mary and Abby. Funeral services for Joyce will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 5:00 P.M. in Strouf Funeral Home in Racine. The family will receive guests in the funeral home on Monday, January 20,2025 from 4:00 P.M. until the start of service. Dinner will be held at Infusino’s Banquet Hall at 6:00 P.M. Burial will take place on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 9:00 A.M. at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Park in Union Grove.
