Mary L. Vallin Flores, 88, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on April 18, 1934 in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of Cruz and Maria (Nee: Lara) Vallin. She was married to Adam Mata. Mary enjoyed life, she loved to dance, loved working in her garden, planting and maintaining her flowers and vegetable gardens. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Mary was very religious, attending mass every morning and always helping others, especially children. Mary will be deeply missed by her husband Adam, children Annette Flores, Margaret Flores, Robert Flores and Lisa Flores along with her grandchildren Michelle Flores, Angela Flores, Maria Flores, Maico Navejar, Jr., Armando Navejar, Reyna Navejar, Andrea Flores, Juan Flores, Cruz Flores, Gilbert Flores, Maria Ortiz, Angelica Castillo and Carlos Collazo as well as several great-grandchildren. She will also be deeply missed by her two brothers Carlos (Judy) Vallin and Dave (Rose) Vallin. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons John Flores and Peter John Flores and five brothers, Joe Vallin, Cruz Vallin, Al Vallin, Ralph Vallin and Edward Vallin. Services for Mary will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Richards Catholic Church, 1509 Grand Avenue, Racine. The family will receive guests at the church on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery on Highway 32.
