Mary Jane Gutierrez, 66, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, January 1, 2024.  Mary was born in Racine on November7, 1957, the daughter of John and Arvila (Nee: Rach) Peterson.  Mary enjoyed getting her hair done,  cooking, watching her favorite tv shows, but she loved taking care of her family and spending time with her grandchildren.  Mary will be deeply missed by Gerardo, her long time companion and father of her children.  She will also be deeply missed by her four children Rose, Cynthia, Gerardo, II and Christopher (Samatha), her 8 grandchildren Marianna, Patricia, Gaberiela, Nicolas, Tobias, Emilio, Alejandro and Isabel  along with her 7 great grandchildren.  She will also be missed by her 3 sisters Colleen, Holly and Jennifer and 3 brothers Johnny, Frank and Rick along with nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Alfredo and 3 sisters Dorothy, Jill and Faye.  A memorial service for Mary will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024  at 2:00 p.m. in Strouf Funeral Home, 1001 High Street.  The family will receive guests in the funeral home on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
