Marvin Ali Broadnax, 45, of Racine, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa. Marvin was born on August 18, 1974 in Decatur, Illinois. Born the son of Willie and Pearlie (NEE: Bell) Broadnax. Marvin loved to play domino’s and play the card game spades. He enjoyed fishing at Island Park and listening to blues music. Marvin will be deeply missed by his sons Marcell Broadnax of Racine, Wisconsin; Zavier Broadnax of Decatur, Illinois and daughter Autumn Love of Chicago, Illinois. He will be dearly missed by his brothers William Broadnax of Atlanta, Georgia; Greg Broadnax of Decatur, Illinois; Demetrus Lofton of Decatur, Illinois, and sisters Sheila Broadnax of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Shawnet Lofton of Decatur, Illinois, as well as one granddaughter. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents Willie and Pearlie, step-father Leonard, and grandmother Mattie Lou. A homegoing celebration will be held on Friday, September 6, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Strouf Funeral Home. The family will receive guests on Friday, September 6, 2019 at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment to follow at Graceland Cemetery.

To my dearest Nieces and Nephews: I am so sorry you have to feel the hurt from the lost of your brother. If I could shield you from this, I would. Stay strong and remember all the good times you had with Marvin. The one thing I remember most about Marvin is that when he hugged you, he did it with his heart and arms. You could feel the love.
