Julia Pedrosa 88, passed away Friday morning December 11th 2015 in Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center. She was born June 16th 1927, in Monterrey Mexico, the daughter of Francisco and Antonia (Nee: Reyes) Espinosa. She married Manuel Pedrosa, July 31, 1948 in Monterrey, Mexico, he passed away November 16th 2009. Julia was employed with the Unified School District as a teacher’s assistant. A member of St. Patrick’s Parish, she enjoyed painting, gardening and sewing. She took great pride in teaching her students and enjoyed watching them walk home when she had the chance sitting on her porch and didn’t have to work. She will be deeply missed by her children who she loved very much. Survivors include her nine children, Josefina Limon, Celia Huron, Manuel Pedrosa Jr., and Francisco Pedrosa all of Racine, Jose Pedrosa of Toledo, Ohio, Graciela Pedrosa of Milwaukee and Johnny, Jimmy, and Luis Pedrosa all of Racine; 20 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters, Mary Tores and Antonia Manzke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday December 17th 2015 at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church 1100 Erie St., Father Antony Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. The family will receive guests on Wednesday December 16th 2015 from 5-6:45 p.m. with a vigil service at 6:45 in Strouf Funeral Home, and on Thursday in St. Patrick’s Church from 9:30 a.m. to time of the Mass.
