Judith Ann Thornton

Judith Ann Thornton 62 passed away Monday morning May 4, 2015 in Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. She was born December 31, 1952 in Racine the daughter of Steven A. and Delores A. (nee: Trojanowski) Gianforte. Judith was united in marriage to William C. Thornton Jr. on May 12, 1973 in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Racine. Judith was a homemaker who loved to garden and spend time with her loving family. She also was very skilled in weaving reed baskets. Survivors include her devoted husband Bill, 2 children; Jeffrey Thornton and Amanda (Josh) Fraser, 2 sisters; JoAnn (Ricardo) Adame, and Sue (Thomas) Konieczko, and 3 brothers; Steven (Flo) Gianforte, Jim (Sandy) Gianforte, and Tony (Milene) Gianforte. Judith is further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Per Judith’s wishes, a private funeral service will be held for her immediate family followed by interment in the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in the town of Dover. To honor the memory of Judith, memorials may be made to the Wheaton Franciscan Cancer Center 3809 Spring St. Racine, WI 53405 with the appreciation of the family.;
