Juan Cruz Marquez, 58, of Racine, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 10, 1962 in Racine, Wisconsin. Born the son of Simon and Antonia (Nee: Cruz) Marquez. Juan liked to go fishing with his grandsons, dancing, and was a faithful Green Bay Packer’s fan. He enjoyed taking trips to Texas, and going to San Antonio’s fiesta’s in April each year. Juan loved to cook, and take his boys to the Wisconsin Dells for a getaway. He never gave up on his family and always took care of them. More than anything he cherished the time spent with his sons and grandchildren. Juan will be deeply missed by his four sons Juan Marquez Jr., Homero Marquez, Xavier Marquez, and Andres Marquez. He will be dearly missed by his four grandchildren Andriana, Juan III, Xavier Jr., and Tucker Levi. He is survived by his sisters Theresa Moreno, Teilma Marquez, Alma Martinez, Antonia Marquez, and brothers Lupe Marquez, Simon Marquez Jr., and Arturo Marquez, as well as his gentle giant Bear the dog. Juan is preceded in death by his father Simon, mother Antonia, brothers Jesse, Andy, Lewis, and mother-in-law Rosa. Funeral Services for Juan will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 12 p.m. at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church (1100 Erie Street). The family will receive guests on Monday, December 21, 2020 from 10 a.m. until time of mass of Christian Burial. Masks are required per entry. Capacity is 100 individuals. Please social distance to the best of your abilities. Father Antony Thomas is officiating. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery (2510 Kinzie Avenue). A special thank you to all the doctors and nurses at the Froedtert Cancer Center and hospital for the exceptional care of Juan.
