Joaquin Moreno Gaviña, 69, of Racine, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Ascension All Saints Hospital. He was born in Mexico on May 19, 1952. Born the son of Jose Guadalupe and Alicia (Nee: Gaviña) Moreno. Joaquin worked at Racine Steel Casting as a machine operator for 26 years. Joaquin came to the states in 1971 and settled in Phoenix, Arizona before locating to Racine, Wisconsin in 1975. He liked to play the acoustic guitar and listen to country music. Joaquin enjoyed the movie ten commandments. He read his bible every night and loved to go to church. He liked to take vacations and visit family and friends in Mexico. More than anything, he cherished his family and the time they spent together. Joaquin will be deeply missed by his children Jose (Hannah), Mayra, and Miguel Moreno, as well as grandsons Mason, Logan, and Simon. He will be dearly missed by five brothers Jose Eduardo, Jose Trinidad, Rafael, Manuel, and Gabriel, as well as sisters Maria del Carmen, Teresa, and Eloisa Moreno. He is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Joaquin is preceded in death by his parents Jose Guadalupe and Alicia. Private family services and burial were held per Joaquin’s wishes.
