Irene Zold

Irene Zold 95 passed away peacefully on Thursday evening February 21, 2013 in Oakridge Care Center after an extended illness. She was born September 4, 1917 in Racine the daughter of Louis and Julia (nee: Krauch) Wisnecky. Irene married Steven Zold on May 16, 1936 in Racine. He passed away March 30, 1973. Irene was the owner and operator of a Janitorial Service for over 40 years. She had been a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren and family. Survivors include her devoted daughter Susan (Lee) Seymour of Florida, 5 grandchildren; Tim (Amy) Zold, Steve (Lori) Zold, Linda Rodriguez, Robert (Joanna) Seymour, and William Seymour, 9 great grandchildren, and a daughter-in-law Carol Zold. Irene is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Steven, a brother Louis Wisnecky, and a sister Margaret Obuchowski. Funeral Services will be Monday February 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. in Strouf Funeral Home, Fr. Leonard Van Vlaenderen officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery on Hwy. 32. The family will receive guests on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services in the funeral home. The family would like to extend a thank you to the nursing staff of Oakridge Care Center for their loving and dignified care of Irene during her final days.;
