Geraldine Mae Goebel, 94, of Racine passed away Tuesday April 12, 2016 in Open Arms Care Facility. She was born in Racine April 18, 1921 the daughter of Harry and Fannie (nee: Jenkins) Rick. Geraldine married Frederick T. Goebel on October 12, 1940 in Racine and he passed away August 24, 2011. A graduate of Racine Park High School, she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, embroidery and sewing. Geraldine also enjoyed traveling with her beloved dog “Spooky” and loved going on long car rides with Frederick, finding new and fun restaurants to dine at on Sunday afternoons. She will be deeply missed by her two children Robert Goebel and Linda Jorgenson along with other nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Frederick Goebel and her parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday April 22, 2016 at 1 pm, in St. Richard Chichester Catholic Church, 1509 Grand Ave, Racine, Father Ron Gramza officiating. The family will receive guests after the service from 2pm until 3pm in the church. Burial will be private for the family in Calvary Cemetery.
