nBELOIT Florence M. Gjere, 91 passed away Thursday evening May 24, 2012 in Premier Care after a long illness. She was born May 12, 1921 In Houston County, MN the daughter of William and Alivina (Ellefson) Hahn. Florence married James G. Gjere on December 6, 1941 in Houston County, MN. He passed away July 13, 2006. A homemaker, Florence also worked as an inspector for Besley Bendix. She was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and enjoyed sewing, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Florence had a deep love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Survivors include her daughters Mary Lou (Jack) Callahan, and Vickie (Mark) Berryman both of Beloit, 4 grandchildren; Jackie Kersting, John (Rhonda) Callahan, Jerry Callahan, and Bridgette (Brian) Swanson, 7 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, a sister Audrey Walsh of Beloit, and nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim, a daughter Aleta, a son William, and brothers Calvin, and Wallace Hahn. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday May 30, 2012 in Trinity Lutheran Church 1850 Cranston Rd., Reverend Edward H. May officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of services in the church. Memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church in Florence’s name would be appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff of Premier Care, Beloit Regional Hospice, and Dr. Eugene Gonzales for their loving and dignified care of Florence. ;
