Ernesto “Ernie” Rivera, of Kenosha WI 61 years old passed away peacefully in his sleep at home, Saturday, January 14th 2017.
Ernie was born on May 19th 1955 in Bayamon Puerto Rico to Ernesto Rivera and Felecita Gonzalez. Ernie then moved to New York for a while then to Chicago. In 1996 he met Anita and they married on May 19th 1997. They lived in Zion for a few years where they really enjoyed being with their children. Ernie had a few different jobs but his favorite jobs were when he worked at Foss Park Golf Course, Piggly Wiggly and Walmart. He enjoyed helping people and meeting new people all of the time. Ernie was a true Chicago Bears and White Sox fan and enjoyed watching the games enjoying his champagne of beers, Miller High Life. His love for golf was undeniable, he not only loved watching it but he loved playing the game as well. Ernie was a one-of-a kind man and loved by many and will be missed by all.
Ernie is survived by his wife Anita Rivera, his children, Linda, Gladys, Ernesto Jr. (Lisa), his bonus children, Christy (Tyrone), Nick (Brittany), Lucille (Lenny), His grandchildren, Ivan, Jeremy, Julissa, Lalanie, his bonus grandchildren, Carlos, Anthony, Paulina, Tatianah, Nikko, Alex, Jaden, Josiah, and Joel.
Ernie was preceded in death by both of his parents.
A memorial will be held on Saturday, January 28th, 2017 from 2p-7p at Foss Park Golf Course 3124 Argonne Dr. North Chicago IL 60064 in the Clubhouse.
