Edmund Lavon Evans Sr., 50, of Milwaukee, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at home. He was born on October 21, 1971, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Plas and Jacqueline Thomas. Edmund married Tonya Stanciel. Edmund spent time serving in the United States Army. He spent his free time watching sports, especially football. He like to read and was very creative. Edmund volunteered with the V.A. and built housed with habitat for humanity. He was very family oriented, and more than anything he loved his boys. Edmund will be dearly missed by his wife Tonya, mother Jacqueline, and sons Edmund Jr., Rickie, Shaquellie, Elijah, and Jeremiah. He Weill be deeply missed by his nine grandchildren Edmund III, Rickie Jr., Shaquellie Jr., Ariโ€™anna, Emonte, Essence, Aubree, Sariyah, and Emonye, as well as sisters Roseanna and Marshall and brother Bryant and special brother David. He is survived by his special friend Michelle, and Hannue Williams the mother of his children. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Edmund is preceded in death by his father Plas Thomas, granddad Freeman Canady, and grandmother Sarah Canady. A memorial service for Edmund will be held on Monday, January 17, 2022, at Strouf Funeral Home at 11 a.m. The family will receive guests on Monday, January 17, 2022, at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until time of service.
