Douglas Roger Gotch, 60, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Douglas was born August 24, 1962 in Racine, the son of Roger and Gail (NEE: Sorenson) Gotch. Doug enjoyed the out-of-doors especially when he was hunting and fishing. He was an excellent handyman and enjoyed building things. In addition, Doug had a website “Historical Racine Forever”. He and his late father used to have good arguments. Doug will be deeply missed by his mother Gail and his two aunts, Kathlene Billard and LouAnn Gotch along with other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, brother Dean, uncles John, Mac and Donald, two sets of Grandparents LeRoy and Mildred Sorenson and Andrew and Lena Gotch. Funeral services for Doug will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1501 Erie Street, Racine on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive guests at the church on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.

Doug was a good friend. Loved our fishing trips as kids and interacting on Facebook, especially with his great Historical Racine website. I still remember when they would stop at my dad’s gas station to fill up the mowers. Just a great family. Gail, may God grant you His peace in Christ.
