David Edward Matavka

November 24, 1958 – May 7, 2023

David Edward Matavka age 64 passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Milwaukee, Wi. after a final battle with many medical conditions. He was born November 24, 1958 in Racine, Wi. He was the son of the late Edward Joseph and Nancy Arlene (Née: Frahm) Matavka. He was single and at the time of death lived in Milwaukee, Wi. When he was employed in his life, he was a Welder by trade. Working various places throughout his life. He was fond of cats and before death was looking forward to visiting the Sip & Purr Cafe in Milwaukee to play with the cats. He could talk on the phone and would talk about family, friends, people, places and things. Every call would end with one more question. The life he chose was not the best for him. I do believe he lived nine lives like a cat. He cared about family until the very end of his life. Hoping he is at peace.

Survived by brothers, Kevin, Darren and Michael and sister Elizabeth and brother-in-LawTodd. Also, many nieces, nephews and cousins.David was preceded by death by parents, Edward and Nancy Matavka, sisters, Kathleen and Kimberly, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and numerous other relatives.
