David Durrell Seward, age 39, Passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023. He was born in Racine , WI on Saturday, March 31, 1984 to Jacqueline (Nee: Shaw) and Dave Seward. David was a loving father to his only son, Davion Seward. He was a fashion icon who loved to dress himself and others, he was very creative and loving with a big personality. David had a laugh that would shake the building.David was ahead of his time; he matured at an early age and gave his siblings someone to look up to. He started working at the age of 15,making sure to provide for his loving family. David had a goal to start his own business and was determined to be his own man. He did accomplish that goal by opening up multiple businesses, “ Love them All” hair collection and “Love them Hands of Care” Adult Family Home.He graduated from William Horlick High School in 2003 while already completing his Certified Nursing Assistant . He furthered his education at Gateway Technical College holding several certificates and certifications in the healthcare field. David leaves cherished memories to his son; Davion D. Seward, his mother Jacqueline Shaw, his father Dave (Darlene) Seward, two sisters ; Nesheika Wilson and Territa Seward, two brothers; Morris Seward, and Deonte ( Ashley)Seward and fiancé’ Darrel Freeman. He will also be missed by his grandparents; Gonzella ( Randy) Peltier, Barbara Shaw, four aunts Tina, Willona, Chandra and Carol, three uncles; James Wilson, Merriweather “Broom” Shaw and Thaddeus “Buddy” Peltier, Great Aunts Gwendolyn (Neeshaw) Scott, Jannetter Shaw, Elnora Hill, Great Uncles Abner (Carolyn) Shaw, Zeddock (Martha) Long, James Long, Roy (Diane) Long, George (Lilly) Long, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to mention.
David is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Josie Seward and Dave Wilson, maternal grandfather Merriweather L. Shaw Sr., one sister Tanisha Shaw and aunt Carolyn Wilson.
Funeral services for David will be on Saturday , October 7, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. in Strouf Funeral Home in Racine. The family will receive guests in the funeral home on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. until the start of service. Burial will be private for family. The Repass to honor David’s life will be held At the King Center 1134 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive from 2:00-6:00 P.M.
