Racine, WI – Clifford William “Bill” Fawcett, 85, died Monday, March, 7, 2016 at Ridgewood Care Center. He leaves his wife of 34 years, Linda “Lin” Fawcett (Vachette); his sons, Preston Clay (Cindy), Eric, Carl (Teri) and Charles, his grandchildren, Julia, Amelia, Virginia, Preston Tyler, Alexandra, Tara, Jake, and Haley, four great grandchildren, brother Jack (Clarice), half-brother, James, half-sister Yvonne, and Auntie Babe Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Dolores. He was born on February 7, 1931 in Roundup, Montana, the son of Elmer G. Fawcett and Agnes Marshall. He attended high school in Red Lodge, Montana and worked as an auto parts salesman for Valley Motor Co. in Billings, Montana before joining the U.S. Air Force. He served for three years in the medical division at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas during the Korean War and achieved the rank of sergeant. Bill met his first wife, Dolores, in Chicago and they had three sons. They were divorced in 1974. In 1975, Bill moved from Chicago to Honolulu, Hawaii and had the opportunity to start up several businesses, including Bill’s Seafood,a live crab importer, the Crab Tank, a small seafood restaurant, and a gaming business. In 1982 he married his second wife, Lin, and they foster-parented another son in 1986. Bill was an avid golfer and golfed every Thursday with his sons in Honolulu. He also enjoyed fishing, singing, playing cards, sports events, and spending time with his family. A funeral service will be held March 16 at noon at Strouf Funeral Home, 1001 High Street, Racine, followed by military honors at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Union Grove.;
